The Institute is an optimistic future-history feature about abundance, artificial intelligence, responsibility, and the human work technology cannot inherit.

KHH is not anti-technology. It wants AI handling infrastructure and administration while humans retain governance, refusal, judgment, privacy, care, culture, and responsibility.

Sophia leads KHH in 2040. She is Coach Ken’s daughter, a veteran of the AI wars, and the person asking what abundance costs that a machine cannot count.
