START A CHAPTER

Five people. One place. One useful promise.

A KHH chapter is not a fan club or content channel. It is a recurring local practice that increases human capability, connection, and responsibility.

1

Gather five

Find a convener, a welcome lead, a practical-skills lead, a culture or movement lead, and someone willing to challenge the group.

2

Choose one place

Use a library, gym, workshop, garden, café, school, faith space, park, porch, or shared room people can return to.

3

Make one promise

Examples: one Human Hour every Thursday; one repair café monthly; one accountable-systems audit each quarter.

4

Publish the boundaries

State cost, access, age, conduct, consent, photography, human contact, exact end time, and how someone can leave or disagree.

5

Run four times

Do not redesign after one awkward meeting. Repeat the same useful format four times and welcome every newcomer by name.

6

Measure human consequences

Track returns, names learned, skills transferred, objects repaired, hosts developed, decisions changed, and accountable owners identified.

7

Join the wider movement

Share the playbook, failures, adaptations, and next date. Never inflate attendance or invent testimonials.

FIRST 30 DAYS

Your minimum viable movement.

  1. Week 1: five founders, roles, place, promise.
  2. Week 2: venue walk-through, invitation, host rehearsal.
  3. Week 3: first gathering, written debrief, next date announced.
  4. Week 4: repeat, recruit two participants into ownership.
